- Are you using the special SIMMs with the PAL in them?

- Shouldn't these be done the other way around? You want the higher density
- SIMMs in bank A. (Although I was somewhat surprised to find yesterday that
- my new IIci had the 5 megs it came with (from Apple) installed the "wrong"
- way....) I don't think this matters much with MacOS, but I have heard
- others say that A/UX is somewhat more picky about this....

- Hmmm. Could be. If you have the new ROMs can you use "normal" SIMMs (i.e.
- the ones without the PAL...)? Anyone know exactly what the dependencies
- are here?

- Well, I hope you get a real one from a real expert. I just thought these
- ideas might jog some memories. I do have 20 megs in an A/UX machine, but
- then that is an SE/30 which has ROMs that, although they are also not
- 32-bit "clean", *are* post-FDHD....
-
- Hope this was useful....
