- I'm trying to get a Televideo Personal Terminal to operate with AIX
- on an RS/6000 in order to use TN3270 for access to an IBM mainframe.
- This terminal sends a x'0A' (CTRL-J) when the cursor down key is
- pressed. It seems that AIX insists on handling this key code as
- a line feed. The result is that the cursor down key works just as
- the ENTER key, giving 2 ENTER keys under TN3270 and no cursor down
- key. I've tried modifying the tvipt.ti file and the 3270keys file
- to force AIX to interpret a different key code as an ENTER key.
- The result is that both the cursor down key and the ENTER key
- work as cursor down keys, giving 2 cursor down keys but no ENTER
- key.
-
- My background is in IBM mainframe systems, and I have little
- familiarity with Unix. Has anyone managed to resolve this type
- of problem successfully? Is there a simple trick that I'm
- missing?
-
- Thanks for any insight you can offer.
