  13. I need some help configuring a modem connected to S1 port of my RS6000.
  14. That port was configured as /dev/tty0.
  15.  
  16. 1). When I do a "stty add rts < /dev/tty0", it hangs.   A ctrl-C will
  17.     generate an error message "/bin/ksh: /dev/tty0 cannot open".
  18.     A "stty get < /dev/tty0" produces the same result.
  19.     It seems that it hangs only occasionally but I don't know what make
  20.     it hangs.  I am sure nobody is using the modem at the time the command
  21.     is executed and It is the same way even if I log in as root.

  23. 2) Is there a way to add rts/cts discipline to a tty definition that would
  24.    survive a cold boot?

  26. 3) I tried to send some "AT" modem control commands to the modem connected
  27.    to tty0 by using "cu -ltty0".  But the system responsed with 
  28.       Lost Carrier
  29.       User defined signal 1
  30.    Is there some parameter I did not set right?
