- I need some help configuring a modem connected to S1 port of my RS6000.
- That port was configured as /dev/tty0.
-
- 1). When I do a "stty add rts < /dev/tty0", it hangs. A ctrl-C will
- generate an error message "/bin/ksh: /dev/tty0 cannot open".
- A "stty get < /dev/tty0" produces the same result.
- It seems that it hangs only occasionally but I don't know what make
- it hangs. I am sure nobody is using the modem at the time the command
- is executed and It is the same way even if I log in as root.
-
- 2) Is there a way to add rts/cts discipline to a tty definition that would
- survive a cold boot?
-
- 3) I tried to send some "AT" modem control commands to the modem connected
- to tty0 by using "cu -ltty0". But the system responsed with
- Lost Carrier
- User defined signal 1
- Is there some parameter I did not set right?
-
- Thanks in advance.
