- I've got a slight problem here with pcsim that perhaps y'all can help
- me with.
-
- I am talking to the rs/6000 with a vt100 over a serial line , and I'm
- wanting to run 'dos' under pcsim. I've got a few programs loaded in
- and running properly (e.g. quicken 5.0), but on occasion, when I get
- back to the c:\ prompt, the cursor seems to have forgotten about my
- command line.
-
- Specifically, no echoing of my input will occur until after the <enter>
- is pressed, but the output from the command comes immediately. The
- commands are all executed properly (assuming I spelled them correctly
- 'in the blind'), but the echoing of the command as I type it is just
- not there.
-
- As a very specific example, I run elvis (the MSDOS vi clone) on a file
- (say autoexec.bat), and do some editing, and when I exit (with :wq),
- whoops - :wq doesn't echo either - is this a clue??!!! At that point,
- the phenomenon is pretty much constant. I wonder if it's the use of
- <escape> within elvis??? Of course, what good is any kind of
- 'computer' - even a simulated one - without a good version of 'vi' ? :)
-
- Any ideas?
