- I apologize if this is information easily obtainable, but I was wondering
- if anyone knew the actual range of a uid in various flavours of UNIX.
- Specifically we're wondering about SunOS 4.1.2 and Solaris 2.0, AIX 3.2.2
- for RS/6000's, NeXTSTEP 3.0 (BSD 4.3), and generic System V R4.
-
- It seems like most systems are 15 or 16 bits, but is there any attempt
- being made to switch to a 32 bit integer?
