- A co-worker without e-mail or news access is trying to configure Domain
- Name Service on a Motorola MVME147SC-1. This is a VME bus computer
- with a 68030 CPU; it runs Motorola's System V/68 version 3.6.
-
- The system includes such wonders (8-) as NFS and NIS, but I don't see
- anything like shared libraries, sendmail, or even compress. (Yes, I
- know where to get compress and sendmail.) The manual section on NIS
- doesn't say anything about DNS, and the file layout is different enough
- from Sun's that I don't see any obvious ways to make NIS do DNS. There
- is a man page on resolv.conf, and I've got it loaded with the right
- data, but lookups of hostnames not in /etc/hosts don't work.
-
- I'm in clueless mode right now. Can anyone out there help me out?
