  23. Ignore the lpr spooler options in wpport and select 'other spoolers'.  Then
  24. enter 'lpr -P<printer>' for the spooler command (where <printer> is the
  25. spooler name of the printer you want to use.  You don't need any special
  26. filter options and you don't need to tell WP about your line parameters.

  28. This works for me on a SPARCprinter (using NeWSprint and WP's Apple
  29. LWIINTX driver), an Apple Laserwriter (using transcript), an HPIIIsi
  30. (as an HP...no PS card) and a couple of different line printers
  31. (a printronix and a genicom).

  36. It isn't perfect...but it is certainly a contender now.  5.1 has very
  37. little similarity to 5.0.

  39. And yes, you can upload PC WP files and read them (and download UNIX WP
  40. files to your PC).

  42. The ASCII terminal interface hasn't approved...but I don't expect it
  43. to since WP depends so heavily on function keys (and, after all, most
  44. word processing packages don't even HAVE support for ASCII terminals).
