  12. Does anyone know how to reduce the space above a chapter title 
  13. in latex?  We are using our thesis style (based on Stanford's) 
  14. with report.sty and are currently getting about 1in of space 
  15. above the title.  Although this looks good in general, I would 
  16. like to move the chapter title up in the Abstract section, as 
  17. the abstract must fit on one page.  All other chapters should 
  18. remain as is.
