- There is a lot of room for improvement, not just in IBM's products,
- but across the board. In my response to the survey I pointed out that
- most of the problems relate to "incompatibilities" between products
- by different vendors. If IBM finds ways to do this better it will
- benefit even those of us who don't use IBM products (I looked around;
- the only IBM product less than 10 years old in this lab is a
- mouse pad left by a sales rep.), both by raising standards for
- other vendors and by putting pressure on other vendors to improve
- interoperability. Who knows, they might even come up with something
- we would buy.
