  14. Hello New Newsgroup;

  16.   I'm sure this question is almost too simple to print but I do need some
  17. answers!   I am changing some of the escape sequences for a terminal (wyse50)
  18. and I am trying to compile and test.  I have managed to compile these
  19. in my home directory under $home/w/wyse50  etc.  Yet I havent been able to 
  20. test them as I'm having trouble setting the terminal.

  22.   Any answers would be most appreciated!  Below is what I've tried so far.

  24. $ TERMINFO=/tristan/users/asg/jirwin; export TERMINFO
  25. $ tic wyse.new
  26.  
  27. after these commands I've got some compiled entry's in $home/w/. 
  28. Then I try:

  30. $TERM=wyse50; export TERM
  31.  
  32. BUT THE CHANGES AREN'T TAKING PLACE!

  34. I'm a bit green at this but am trying.
