- You still aren't giving enough details. You say that you have the hard
- drive and that it works. How is it installed? With a cable from the
- drive to the drive connector on the motherboard? If so, if it works at
- all, you *cannot* have an interrupt conflict.

- If it is attached to a controller card that you added, then *of course*
- you have a conflict! Unless the controller was made for a Tandy 1000
- it uses IRQ 5, and the Tandy is using that for a *screen* interrupt.

- Also, you are going to get conflicts caused by having two HD controllers
- that *both* think they are the primary HD controller.

- The Tandy docs *can* be puzzled out. You need to make it *not* use
- IRQ5 for anything, and likely also turn off the HD controller on the
- motherboard.
