  13. I revisited that Radio Shack store where I got that catalog with blank
  14. spaces and empty columns where the prices usually go.  This time
  15. around they gave me a "sequential price index" (listed in order of
  16. model number).  It turns out it wasn't a misprint after all.  The
  17. catalogs distributed here are intentionally without prices because
  18. they're going to start charging more than the catalog price, to pass
  19. on the cost of shipping stuff out here.

  21. I remember back in the late '70s/early '80s they used to slap a
  22. sticker on the cover saying that prices in Hawaii were higher that
  23. those listed inside.  Then about a decade ago they started charging
  24. the catalog prices.  I should have figured that it was over when I saw
  25. that Hawaii was added to the small print price disclaimer on page 2
  26. this year.  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
