- That should be 8000 Hz. We were discussing this topic just today since I have
- written a program to do simple signal processing (our undergrads use it to do
- some laboratory experiment in signal theory). I had assumed 8192
- Hz in the program since I remebered having seen that number somewhere.
- However, when I read the manual pages and various include-files
- it said 8000 Hz everywhere. All this made us a bit unsure so when the program
- was ready we tested a simple undersampling and checked what frequency the
- aliased signal showed up as. Sure enough, it was folded about 4000 Hz meaning
- the sampling rate is 8000 Hz.
