- Is there a way to resize cmdtool windows from the command line?
-
- I open cmdtool windows 80 columns wide by default. At times I will
- widen one to view extra-wide output, then set it back when done.
- To do the latter, I display an 80-column ruler, manually resize the
- window to 80 columns, then scroll back down to the prompt (which
- usually gets scrolled off the screen by the resize operation).
- Is there a better way to do this? Is there, for example, a command
- which can be issued to set the window to 80 columns or back to its
- original size?
-
- (In anticipation of responses which suggest I just run another,
- wider cmdtool, I'll respond now that sometimes I do this, but I
- still would like to know if there is a way to resize cmdtool from
- the command line.)
-
- I'm running SunOS 4.1.1 and OpenWindows 3.0 on a Sparc 1+.
-
- Thanks,
-
