  12. Ok, the simple question is "how loud can I play a sound on my Sun, as
  13. in sounding alarms"?

  15. I'm not sure exactly what I am looking for in an answer but the
  16. management is asking for decibel values.  We have a call into Sun but
  17. for the moment are unable to get the right person with the answer.
  18. (FYI, I am not an audio knowledgeble person...!)

  20. The system is a Sparc2 workstation.

  22. So, does anyone have an answer, or can supply me with a better way to
  23. phrase the above question in order to get a reasonable answer?

  25. Also, as a side note, has anyone out there attached an amplifier or
  26. sounding system to sound alarms generated by an application?  If so,
  27. could you pass on any data that might be useful to our future needs?
