- You need to purchase another frame buffer which must then be installed
- in your IPX (about $600 for a monochrome FB). Unlke the IPC, the IPX
- contains only one frame buffer, If you run X (r4 or r5), you do not
- have to do anything (at all) to use both monitors. With openwin, you
- must specify which monitors to use on the command line. I have two
- monitors on my machine and use the following command to start openwin:
-
- openwin -dev /dev/cgsix0 -dev /dev/bwtwo0 right
-
- /dev/cgsix0 is the built in frame buffer, /dev/bwtwo0 was the one I added on.
- The command tells openwin than bwtwo0 is to the right of cgsix0.
-
- olwm & twm will automatically control both monitors with no extra work
- required. I do not know about mwm.
-
- I hope this helps,
-
