- Welp, as much as I hate to do this seeing how I like WP so much,
- How bad is WP5.1.....
-
- Let me descibe my environment first:
-
- Sun Sparc's:
- Sun OS 4.1.2
- OpenWin 3.0
-
- 100Meg or better of swap
- 28Meg or better of Ram
-
- Tables:
- When trying to work with tables, save often. I have experienced, many
- times, where moving through them, I have been dumped completed out of OpenLook.
- We use many other X programs here, PD and otherwise (Cadense, etc.) and none
- have ever thrown me out of OpenLook.
-
- Printing:
- If its directly connected, anyone can configure it.... If its not, be
- prepared to be confused... After reading all the articles here, I have decided
- that I can finally get what I want.
-
- Etc:
-
- Bottom line:
- Sure wish I didn't feel so dissappointed.... I have been an unregistered
- consultant for WP for years in the DOS Environment. Being hooked as I am on the
- unix advantages, I had hoped by purchasing WP5.1 for Unix I could pretty much
- ignore my pc. Unfortunately, I still end up using it. While it is a 486/33 it
-
- doen't do what my Unix box can do.
-
- Anyway,
- No I haven't called WP yet. I'm trying to find the time to provide
- a fully functional set of macros to demonstrate the problems.
-
- In Conclusion:
- Disappointed. :(!
