- IPC, just upgraded to 4.1.2 from 4.1.1b via the cdrom "sunupgrade".
- All went well, EXCEPT:
- On bootup, when rpc.lockd is launched, generates the error message
- 'cannot connect with status monitor'
- about every 5 seconds. Makes it hard to do much until lockd is killed.
- rpc.statd IS running, so is there something I have overlooked?
-
- This is not usually set up as an NFS client or server, /etc/xtab,
- /etc/sm, are empty, so what connection is this machine trying to make??
- The fstab has no remote mounts, and since the machine is NOT
- (currently) attached to the net, where are the lock requests
- coming from??
-
- Thanks for answers and suggestions..I shall sum the results.
- The rpc infant....
