- In a recent argument about which video-grade tape (if any) to use
- in Exabyte streamers, the consensus seemed to be Sony P6-120MP tapes.
-
- Well, I tried to buy some of those tapes from local video-shops today,
- but they don't have those on stock. I was told that P6 tapes are for
- the american standard (NTSC) and the P5 tapes are for PAL-systems.
- The difference is (according to the sales-man) only the length of the
- tapes, for NTSC and PAL record at a different speed of the tape.
-
- So, the question is this:
- Are the P5-120MP tapes as good as the P6-120MP tapes ?
-
- Thanks,
- Otmar Lendl
