- Sorry for a naive question. I see from reading this group that
- there are a fair number of Sun patches which should be applied.
- What I do NOT understand is why when Sun goes, say, from 4.1.1
- to 4.1.2, the necessary patches for 4.1.1 still have to be made.
- Why did sun not incorporate the patches in the new distribution?
- Or am I misunderstanding the term "patch", which I would have
- thought refers to a bug correction or an improvement?
