  11. I have the ARM security package, and am currently trying to set up the
  12. idlelockscreen feature.  I've changed the Shell script provided to handle both
  13. X and OpenWindows, but the script will die trying to lock a person who has
  14. logged in on console, but hasn't started up a windowing environment yet.

  16. Is there an relatively easy way to find out if the person is running a
  17. windowing environment from a shell script?  I suppose I could make the script
  18. simply not return an error when the lockscreen/xlock fails, but I would prefer
  19. to handle the sityation intelligently rather then simply ignoring the problem.
