  12. I am trying to set up a laptop Sparc (Tadpole's SPARCbook) for
  13. someone.  He commutes frequently between two offices.  He would like
  14. to plug the SPARCbook to the ethernet and boots automatically to the
  15. right IP address.

  17. Is there anyway to listen to the ethernet to guess which one of the
  18. two ethernets the machine is connected to?  Most(if not all) of network
  19. commands (e.g. ping, etherfind, rup, etc), will not work unless 
  20. you have turn on the network interface by ifconfig.  However,
  21. I need to put in an address for ifconfig.
