  15.     Here is my $0.02 worth. We have been using an older EXB-8200 for a couple of years and a Contemporary Cybernetics 8500 with compression for the last 6 months. The only difference that I saw between the EXB tapes and the SONY PC-120MP ones is on the Cybernetics drive with compression enabled..The Sony tapes routinely give about 12-13 GB per tape , while with the one Exabyte tape I tried I got approx 18-19 Gb. So I presume there is a difference in the tape quality, which however,in my IMHO, does not justify
