- I am running 4.1.2 on a Sparc 1+ with 16mb of memory. The machine is used by no more than 2 people and usually 1 person.
- I recently added some programs which run daemons for licensing (FrameMaker, SUNPC, IslandETC) and am already running
- CAP6.0 which has 3-4 daemons going constantly. I now find that when a run more than about 2 programs on top of OpenLook,
- the programs crash with an error something like:
- Too many procs
- or
- No more procs.
-
- I recently also recompiled my kernel (small_generic with a couple of mods - enabling semiphores). What is the problem here?
- Does this error message mean that there is a limit on the number of processes for any one user? If so, can this be reset somewhere?
- Is this limited by memory or CPU or software? Any suggestions would be a help.
