- Ignoring orientation, it's sort of like this:
-
- \ \ \ \ \
- \ \ \ \ \
- 8200 mode \ \ \ \ \
- \ \ \ \ \
-
- \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
- \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
- 8500 mode \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
- \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
-
- I've left room in between because Exabyte claims there will be further
- developments in density in future years. There have been a couple of papers
- presented at (I think) IEEE mass storage symposia.

-
- We've had no problems so far, though I'll admit we don't use 5GB mode all
- that often. We use only the Sony P6-120MP tapes.
