- Unless you have a complex network, routed will only run a few times a
- minute. Routed isn't involved in the actual routing of packets, it merely
- broadcasts and updates the routing table.

- This is probably also relevant to the memory requirements. Renicing routed
- probably doesn't help because nice doesn't keep a process from being
- swapped out. If your network is simple enough that routed isn't forced to
- run very often, it may get swapped out after each iteration, and it will
- have to page back in when its timer goes off again.
