  12. Hello,
  13.     We had an Apple laserwriter IInt running off a Sun 4/280
  14. using LWkit.  Recently we bought a IIg, in order to test it I tried
  15. simply plugging it into the nt's serial cable.  Well, it didn't work.
  16. The behaviour:  would wait a short while print the job and then 
  17.         wait 5 minutes to print the burst page
  18.  
  19.         lpq would give the status as 'synchronising
  20.         communications' or 'busy'
  21.  
  22.     I tried recompiling LWkit under the assumption that it was
  23. changed for our laser accounting.  But the behaviour persisted.
  24. Has anyone successfully attached a IIg to a Sun 4/280 running 4.1.1
  25. with LWkit or any other public domain software?  Also, has anyone
  26. been able to hook it up using the ethernet port rather than a serial
  27. line.
