- We have an Iris 4D/120 (running Irix 4.0.5) with the following SMD
- disk controller and two 1.2 Gb SMD disks in an external 4-drive
- cabinet, shown below from hinv.

- Xylogics 754 4-drive SMD disk controller 0: Firmware version 2.7.0
- SMD Disk drive: unit 1 on Xylogics controller 0
- SMD Disk drive: unit 0 on Xylogics controller 0

- Question: If I put in two more of these disks strictly for remote use
- on another 4D/120 via NFS, how much could the additional disk I/O
- affect the CPU performance, SMD disk controller performance and access
- to the two original disks?
