- This is indeed a crucial question which we are also facing at the moment.
- We have applications running that use FORMSLIB and think it's a wonderful
- piece of code. However, we do not want to stuck in GL, never to enjoy the
- benefits of OpenGL, especially its portability. So we are starting to
- write mixed mode code, and wondering which way to go with our future
- developments.
-
- It would seem that another possibility for the as-yet-not-too-committed
- user would be to find (develop) a similar set of tools, essentially and
- interface builder, to the FORMSLIB designer, that would implement things
- in some OpenGL compatible fashion. Does anyone know if such tools exist,
- or what is on the horizon in this regard? It would mean the end of
- FORMSLIB, but I fear this is inevitable unless the author, or a group of
- people willing to contribute to a major re-write, are willing and able to
- tackle OpenGL-FORMS.
