- You should defintely get the GR 1.2 upgrade. This will
- make X perform much, much faster on your hardware.

- Beyond that, I would also say go for the 16 M upgrade
- as well. Especially under 4.0, this is important to
- help reduce disk thrashing you encounter.

- Hint: Standard Macintosh or PC-compatible 1 MB memory
- SIMMS will work in the 4D/20 or 4D/25. I believe you
- need at least 100 ns speed, and they must have the extra
- parity bit (1 MBx9). So, to upgrade your current system
- from 12 to 16 MB, you need buy only four memory SIMMs,
- at about $35 each, last time I checked street prices.
- Then, you can afford to spend the rest of your money
- (should be about $700-$750 at that point) on a bigger,
- faster disk drive...
