  19. I was advised to use "make SHELL=/bin/sh" and that got through the first
  20. problem.  I HAD used the configure script, but didn't see anything about
  21. unly using sh.

  27. The problem seems to be SGI-specific.  The make choked on the lack of
  28. a definition for ut_host in utmp.h, and I've heard previous comments on
  29. problems with a non-standard utmp.h on SGI's.  I have no idea what the
  30. reality is and I'm not flaming SGI about this, but that seems to be where
  31. the problem lies.

  37. I find that people with SGI systems generally have a better idea of why
  38. stuff won't compile on an SGI than most, and after the basic compilation
  39. problems are resolved is the time to start reporting bugs.
