- Due to a shortage of disk space, I am forced to try to use a separate
- disk for the /usr filesystem. I have set /etc/fstab to point to the
- new disk for mounting /usr. However, the system doesn't seem to be
- able to find the new disk. It's hanging halfway through boot (right
- after "root on dev 0x1620, swap on dev 0x1621"). The system console
- never responds, but a terminal on another port comes up and I can login
- and see that the mounting of /usr has failed.
-
- Has anyone else tried to do this, or is it not possible in the IRIS
- universe?
