  13. I've installed a Python DAT tape drive in a 4D30 PI and haven't had much
  14. success using it.  I seem to be able to tar to it, but can't get the data
  15. back off of it.  Sara Kunz has been quite helpful with other aspects of 
  16. tape usage and automatic backup, but she wasn't sure if Pre-4.0 Irix releases
  17. supported the DAT tape device.  I've looked in the man pages (mt, mtio, tar,
  18. tps, etc.) but haven't found a reference to a DAT device.
