  15. This is probably a FAQ, but...  if I could find one, I would
  16. have looked there first.

  18. I manage a network which includes 4D/35's and Indigo's.  Now I
  19. typically worry about minor things such and filesystems, etc,
  20. but the users have been jumping on me about the screen realestate
  21. differences between the 4D/35's and the Indigo's.

  23. My Question:    Is there a way to configure the .sgisession (or
  24.         .Xdefaults) file to recognize the resolution and
  25.         proportion the display area appropriately/auto-
  26.         matically.  (So that Joe's mailbox and calendar 
  27.         show up in the "right" places!)

  29. My local SGI guru passed on a tidbit of info which had been sent
  30. to him.  It suggested the following modes to the ~/.sgisession file:

  33.     #  define SMALL
  34.     #  define WSHFONT -*-courier-bold-r-normal-*-12-*-75-75-*-*-*-*
  35.     #else
  36.     #  define WSHFONT -*-courier-bold-r-normal-*-*-100-*-*-*-*-*-*
  37.     #endif

  39.     XWsh.Font:  WSHFONT
  40.     emacs.Font: WSHFONT

  43. But this only seems to address the font problem.  And when I tried it,
  44. did not really seem to do anything.
