- First, you are incorrectly assuming that there are only two choices for pen
- developers. GRiD has sold more hardware and software than anyone else in the
- pen-based arena. Go and Microsoft tend to get a lot more press because their
- stuff is based on snazzier operating systems while GRiD's is based on DOS.
-
- Second, it looks to me like Microsoft has backed off its pen-based hype lately
- and is concentrating on getting NT going. As GO seems to struggle more and more
- (there stuf is still REAL slow) in just getting things out the door, Microsoft
- sees less and less threat from them in the OS market. Their pen-based stuff
- is more recent and hasn't had the time to build momentum.
-
- Finally, there seems to be an assumption that EVERYONE has access to the net!
- Not so! There are many companies that use mainly PCs and have little or no
- usenet access. This means those that use Microsoft Windows or DOS (GRiD or
- PowerPoint) are likely not to even have the ability to post things here.
