- Can someone tell me a little about Btrieve? I have a "canned"
- application that uses Btreive for it's data files, and I need to
- generate additional formatted reports using the data in the Btrieve
- data base. I have NO access to source for the existing application.
- I need to know:
-
- 1. How do you access Btrieve data? Are apps written in a
- high-level language (like C) using Btrieve "calls"; does Btrieve
- have it's own "language" like dBase III; or does it use some standard
- like SQL?
-
- 2. What documentation is available on Btrieve and from where? The
- Btrieve manual that came with Netware only talks about Utilities for
- administering the system; there's nothing in it about application
- interfaces, etc.
-
- Thanks for any information you can provide.
