  13. The problem with Preferences is more than that stated.
  14. If you'll notice, the only Preferences which DON'T
  15. stick are the first four in the Preferences app:
  16. - Mouse Preferences
  17. - Keyboard Preferences
  18. - Display Preferences
  19. - General Preferences
  20. (Actually, in the General Preferences, the Font selection
  21. sticks, but the System Beep does not.) It is not an NFS or
  22. protection problem. If it were, you would be able to
  23. write Preferences from the server/console. That doesn't work.
