- I have Telnet running on some PCs which are network to a NeXT. If
- I access the modem connected to the NeXT using kermit(5A 165) from the
- NeXT, everything works fine (of course). However, if I run Telnet from
- a PC to login to the NeXT then run kermit there is a problem (of course).
- The modem no longer respons. It appears to not be getting the end of line.
- For example, if I type 'at'<RETURN> I do not get OK, but instead the cursor
- jumps down one line below where it is (ie, it does not return to the beginning
- of the next line) and there is no response from the modem. No command
- I have used (atdt, etc) has worked.
-
- However, if I type something like atdt5551234, then escape to kermit and
- type 'bye', the dial command is sent to the modem. Typing 'c' will then
- connect to the session and everything seems fine.
-
- Has anyone seen anything like this or know what may be causing it and\or
- how to fix it.
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
- Charlie
