- We are having problems booting one of our NeXTStations. It stops during
- the boot process when "Checking System Disk" is displayed in the
- message box.

- The problem is not consistent, in that it boots up roughly 40% of the
- time.

- If the cpu does hang, and we try rebooting a few more times (via
- command-command-~) we can successfully boot the machine. (after
- a few tries)

- When we bootup with the monitor screen up, we've had two things happen:

- 1. the error message "unexpected kernal page fault failure"
- 2. panic: (Cpu 0) MMU invalid descriptor during table walk

- I would venture to "guess" that the kernal has gone bad, and we have to
- rebuild the hard drive, but then again, I'm no NeXT god. Any ideas?
