- Recently, I've noticed a couple of postings on problems with 2.2 and NFS.
- Well, last week, I helped to set up a netboot/file server for a 15-computer
- lab. We experienced a lot of NFS problems. Very few errors were ever logged,
- but the problem was finally so bad (the server would freeze up completely
- several times a day) that someone decided to install 3.0.
-
- Certain files which worked from partition b on the server would not work over
- nfs. I was able to find the error "bad address" a couple of times
- while on a client machine after a cp command, but most of the time the
- server just would hang. Hang as in only alt-command-* would do anything.
-
- Are there any known problems with NFS and 2.2? We are running an 040 Cube
- with a NeXTDimension board and a 1.4G drive as our server to a lab of
- 15 Colorstations. Any ideas what could cause this?
