  13. We've got a micropolis 1030 1.3 (unformatted) drive on a NeXTStation
  14. Color Turbo running NeXTStep release 2.2.

  16. I'd like to low-level format it optimally and would greatly appreciate
  17. any advice as to:
  18. - how to do this
  19. - what man pages to read
  20. - what progs to use (some one has said something about 'SCSIFormatter')
  21. - if any 'proto' file exists for this purpose
  22.  
  23. It will be used as our main file server disk in a heterogenous network of
  24. SUNs and NeXTs, if it makes any difference (although I think that this
  25. aspect of it doesn't pertain to the low-level formatting (?)).
