  14.     I have a NeXTstation (running 2.2) in my office and also an account
  15. on one of the computing centre's Suns. 
  16.  
  17.     When I telnet from the Sun to my NeXT, I run into terminal emulation
  18. problems.  For example, 'ls -al' produces the following display...

  31.     It looks to me like the newline function is not working properly.

  33.     I should add that this seems to only happen in line mode when I'm
  34. telnetting from the Sun to the NeXT.  When I run full-screen commands
  35. like emacs, everything's fine.  When I run Terminal on the NeXT,
  36. everything's fine.  When I telnet to the NeXT from my Mac everything's
  37. fine.

  39.     What's puzzling is that I've been telnetting from the Sun to other
  40. machines for a long time and I've NEVER observed this before -- so it
  41. makes me think the problem lies with the NeXT.

  43.     I'd be very grateful for any suggestions here.  (My only access to
  44. the NeXT from home is by dialing up the Sun and then telnetting -- so
  45. I'm really needing to solve this problem.)
