  14. We are having some problems with our NetInfo structure.  The current
  15. structure, shown below
  16. consistes of two servers, SERVER1 and SERVER2, serving various sub
  17. domains and providing
  18. various mount points to the cluster.   Our structure was created to
  19. allow for exclusion of information
  20. from specific domains.
  21.
  22.
  23.
  24. Both servers contain user partitions and all machines in the cluster
  25. need to be able to mount
  26. these partitions.  Here lies the problem:
  27.
  28.       Why do we have to have all the machines in Group3 listed in the
  29. /machines directory on SERVER2/local?  If we remove the information
  30. for the machines of Group3 from the SERVER2/local /machines
  31. directory, the machines in Group3 are no longer able to automount
  32. (via /Net) any partitions from SERVER2.  We find this strange because
  33. the only entries in our SERVER1/local /machines are broadcasthost and
  34. localhost.  There doesn't seem to be a problem with machines in
  35. Group1 and Group2, which are served by SERVER2, mounting partitions
  36. from SERVER1.  Is this because SERVER1 is also our NetInfo Master for
  37. the entire database and by default, it knows of every machine in the
  38. cluster??
