- I would take the following steps:
-
- 1. Take the single screw that holds on the case, and go to
- a specialty bolt supply house, and ask for one that has
- matching threads, but takes a really weird tool to remove
- it. (Like a drill...)
-
- 2. Take your next to the place you wish to install it.
-
- 3. Open the case.
-
- 4. drill serveral holes through the bottom. (Work around
- the pc board.)
-
- 5. Attach the bottom to the table with large screws.
-
- 6. Close next with special screw.
-
- This still leaves them free to steal mouse, keyboard and
- monitor, but the cpu is fairly secure.
-
- Alternately, several companies market glue on hasps. You
- epoxy these onto the various parts, and the table, then run
- a cable through them all. Only as secure as your cable.
-
- Finally, set up another machine to ping that demo machine
- every minute. If the ping doesn't return, raise all hell.
