  11. I got one reply from Royce Howland about the modem control codes being sent
  12. to the modem even when someone's successfully logged in.

  14. (I've tried to mail a response but the return address was invalid and I
  15. haven't been able to figure out the correct one yet)

  17. Anyway, the error *might* have been the modem being set to echo codes (ATE1).
  18. This unfortunately renders tip unuseable (no comments as to whether or not
  19. that's the way it always is :-) ).
