  13. Hi,
  14.      I have an annoying problem with Edit that has just reared its head.
  15. I use Edit as a text editor for LaTeX. Lately, I've been getting 
  16. LaTeX errors whose route cause is not LaTeX but the seemingly random desire
  17. of Edit to IGNORE TEXT!!!!!  (or LaTeX doesn't see the text written)

  20. \noindent {\bf Lemma (5.6)(c)} \ $p \sim q$ and 
  21. $a \in [0,1] \Longrightarrow ap
  22. + (1-a)r \sim aq + (1-a)r \ \forall r \in P$

  26. on my screen was two lines, with the stuff on lines two and three above
  27. together on one line. But LaTeX totally ignores the third line, causing
  28. errors and endless pain.

  30. How can I fix this WHILE IN EDIT????  I have been switching to a mainframe
  31. version of emacs to rewrite the suspect text (which always solves the problem).

  33. Does Edit have hidden linebreaks????????
