- Hi,
- I have an annoying problem with Edit that has just reared its head.
- I use Edit as a text editor for LaTeX. Lately, I've been getting
- LaTeX errors whose route cause is not LaTeX but the seemingly random desire
- of Edit to IGNORE TEXT!!!!! (or LaTeX doesn't see the text written)
-
- eg.
- \noindent {\bf Lemma (5.6)(c)} \ $p \sim q$ and
- $a \in [0,1] \Longrightarrow ap
- + (1-a)r \sim aq + (1-a)r \ \forall r \in P$
-
-
-
- on my screen was two lines, with the stuff on lines two and three above
- together on one line. But LaTeX totally ignores the third line, causing
- errors and endless pain.
-
- How can I fix this WHILE IN EDIT???? I have been switching to a mainframe
- version of emacs to rewrite the suspect text (which always solves the problem).
-
- Does Edit have hidden linebreaks????????
-
- Can I see them somehow??????
