  13. Finally, a ray of hope.

  15. My first 2 3.0's arrived (only xxx more to go...).  I don't see any rhyme or  
  16. reason to this.  These were for systems ordered in May, but I have systems
  17. ordered in January which I have not seen yet.  I guess I will wait
  18.  
  19. Bottom line:  NeXT's shipping Status:
  20.  
  21.     Packing slips appear to be printed August 25 (with ship date of 8/25)
  22.     Fed Ex says they received the package on Sep 10th.
  23.     It got to RST on the 11th.
  24.     It was handled by our receiving this morning...
  25.      and they promptly started paperwork to ship it back,
  26.      because they came on an old P.O. that was marked "received in full"
  27.      (systems ordered after Jan22 and before Aug 31 were shipped with 2.2,
  28.           and no mention of a 3.0 upgrade on backorder).
  29.      Arg.;-)

  32. NeXT is shipping in this order (supposedly):
  33.     Free upgrades first (all systems ordered after 3.0 was announced in
  34.     January).
  35.     CD-ROM drive bundles during same time frame
  36.     Purchased Upgrades (NeXT items 5527 or 5528) received before 8/31.
  37.  
  38. NeXT's shipping people have yet to give me a status on any of my shipments.
  39. To be pristine, you must match the shipped package for the correct machine, as
  40. they are serialized licenses.  This license will ensure future releases (3.1)
  41. will be shipped to you.
