- The RightBrain Software File Server is up and running. It was easier
- than I thought it would be.
-
- Send a message to
-
- file-server@rightbrain.com
-
- with the the word "help" in the body of the message (or in the subject
- line) and it will send you a note on how to use it.
-
- If you're familiar with Adobe's ps-file-server, then you already know
- how to use this, because it's basically the same code, although I hacked
- it so it would support NeXTmail attachments, which makes it much easier
- to use.
-
- I think all the wrinkles are out of it. There's nothing particularly
- useful stored in it yet; the PasteUp logo as an EPS file, which I
- put in there for testing, and the RTF files that started all of this :-)
-
- It's pretty neat; give it a try. The only thing to be aware of is that
- it ALWAYS will send you NeXT attachments, because we believe in the
- technology and we hate ASCII.
-
- As soon as Jack gets back from the hospital with his broken fingers
- all taped up, we can start putting some real documents and sample
- programs or whatever on the server for you. We're going to try to
- make it into a real repository of information about Publishing on
- the NeXT.
