  17. If NeXT's shipper's representative is correct about NeXT requesting that the
  18. shipping of 3.0 be held up, then NeXT owes all of us who have ordered 3.0
  19. prepaid, many of us several months ago, a forthright explanation of the problem
  20. and when we will actually receive 3.0.

  22. Many of us have tight development schedules, little reserves, etc. and just
  23. can't withstand the uncertainty of not knowing what's happening with 3.0 and
  24. when we can count on receiving it.

  26. Companies and individuals who withhold this sort of info have time and time
  27. again found out too late that customers really respond positively to honesty,
  28. no matter how embarrassing or negative, and really hate deception.  The truth
  29. will eventually get out and the serious harm done will take much longer to
  30. rectify than any problems caused by being honest and up-front now.
