- Now you've done it! I will admit that I have installed nfss on my NeXT,
- which is still running 2.1 (I am using upgraded versions TeXview and
- dvips). I did it for tvz's wonderful slide-making package (seminar),
- but it's proved useful for other things as well. I am pretty sure that
- it will be even easier under 3.0, but I can't be sure until I get it.
- :-)
-
- Now, I have an offer for you folks who loved the look of Steve's slides
- at NeXTworld but still are retro enough to use TeX. I recently bought a
- copy of Tekton, and I've hacked together the support files that make it
- easy to use in TeX and LaTeX. I'm still fiddling with the scaling, but
- in a couple of days I will have versions I can release to the public.
- They depend on later releases of dvips (I'm using 5.485) and TeXview
- (I'm using a9). They also use the nfss of 92.03.25 and dmjones' psfonts
- stuff. I also have a tekton style file for the seminar package.
-
- Note: These files are useless unless you have a legitimate copy of the
- font Tekton! You *must* be somewhat familiar with the way TeX works to
- install them.
-
- Is anyone interested in these files? I realize making slides in Tekton
- just because Steve Jobs does it is rather silly, but if you have another
- font you would like to TeXify, these could serve as a template.
